Lavender Panzies

What is Lavender Panzies?

Lavender Panzies was created in 2023 by a group of people seeking to provide a variety of community spaces centering queer femme/masc, lesbian, bisexual, intersex, non-binary, transgender, asexual and agender people.

We believe the inclusivity and accessibility of all of those represented in the FLINTA margins deserve a space to feel safe, heard, loved, and celebrated.

Our #1 priority is simple: we aggressively and unapologetically pursue queer joy.

Camp with a Q — Qamp written on a purple pendant banner

QAMP is Lavender Panzies' yearly camping retreat centered around creativity, community, camping, and queers. Created in 2023, QAMP was the result of many folks in the queer community coming together to build something positive out of our joined lived experiences failing to find community elsewhere.

FAQ

Originally a German acronym, in English it stands for frauen (women), lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people, arising from feminist movements to create a term that refutes cis hetero patriarchal hierarchies. It's not perfect, but attempts to create queer spaces for more marginalized groups.

Utilizing measures such as a waitlist with BIPOC attendee prioritization, a sliding scale for ticket pricing, and BIPOC ticket pre-release. We will be prioritizing all medic, DJ, volunteer, artist, community programing slots/funding, & Organizer/Producer roles to BIPOC attendees first. There will also be a BIPOC only sleeping area and programming. Our organizer team is also commited to learning more about intersectionality through paid learning sessions and we'll continue to learn and expand on these.

Ticket price information to come, sliding scale tickets will be available. More information to come soon.

Anyone queer under the FLINTA umbrella is welcomed to Qamp! However, only those who have tickets can attend. Tickets are only available to attendees 21 and up. To get your ticket, secure it through Ticket Tailor.

Our #1 priority is your safety. By sharing the exact location too far in advance, it could jeopardize that safety. We will be releasing the exact location as we get closer to the event date. When planning for this event, know it's located in White Haven, PA, about 2 hours north of Philly.

We will be providing a continental-style breakfast on Saturday and Sunday with vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free options, as well as scheduled communal lunch and dinner times. We will also be sending a "What to Pack" list for ticket holders prior to Qamp with suggested items to bring.

We are still finalizing our refund policy and futher information will be available shortly.

QAMP is a COVID-conscious event. We require proof of vaccination unless there are any/multiple barriers preventing vaccination, obtained prior to arrival. We will also be conducting COVID testing upon entry and daily testing for all campers. Tests will be provided by Qamp. We encourage you to bring masks for yourself if you wish to remain masked throughout the weekend. Throughout the months leading up to QAMP, we encourage masking at our events, testing prior to arrival at said events, and will be including a mixture of mask-optional and mask-required events to help grow and strenghten our community.

This campground is wheelchair accessible and also we will have daily rapid antigen covid tests provided to all attendees.

You don't need any camping experience to attend. From cabins, to bathrooms, and provided breakfast and optional dinner ticket add on, we try to alleviate the things that make camping intimidating. You'll also receive a "What to Bring" list to help you feel prepared. There's also plenty of folks with camping experience here to help!
